rules of safe water consumption

In today’s world, access to clean drinking water is vital. In disaster-affected areas, safe water consumption is key to health and well-being.

Here are the basic rules that will help ensure the safety and purity of water:

1. Boiling water

Water should be boiled for at least one minute to kill all bacteria and viruses.

2. Use of certified filters

If water filters are available, make sure they are certified and properly maintained.

3. Storage of water in clean containers

Use only clean and closed containers for storing drinking water.

4. Avoiding the use of stagnant water

Do not use water from standing sources such as puddles or swimming pools as they may be contaminated.

5. Inspection of water sources

If you use water from a public source, make sure it is safe and purified.

6. Education about water resources

Learn about local water sources and their status to understand where to find safe water.

7. Regular water testing

If possible, conduct regular water tests for contaminants.

8. Familiarization with water purification methods

Learn about different methods of water purification that you can use at home, such as using iodine or chlorine.
